About the city

Technology and design A true technology and design hub, many of the best things to do in Eindhoven are linked to the city’s creative past and innovative present which make it the perfect holiday destination for anyone with an interest in these industries.

Every October, Eindhoven hosts the largest design event in northern Europe, Dutch Design Week, but outside of this you will always be able to find great examples of design in workshops, galleries, and public spaces dotted throughout the city.

Head to Piet Hein Eek’s workshop, which was previously where Phillips made their radio and television components, and take a look at his work which covers a number of areas, including interior design, furniture, and fine art. A number of new pieces are added to the collection each year, and the space is also home to a restaurant, gallery, and entertainment venue.
