Duty free shopping after Brexit
Following the UK leaving the EU, we are able to offer duty free shopping to passengers travelling between the UK and EU countries. This means that you can save up to 50% off high street prices on a whole range of products, including alcohol and tobacco. There are some restrictions on how much duty free shopping you can bring into the UK:
Alcohol
42 litres of beer
18 litres of still wine
4 litres of spirits or 9 litres of sparkling wine, fortified wine or any alcoholic beverage less than 22% ABV
Tobacco
200 cigarettes or
100 cigarillos or
50 cigars or
250g tobacco or
200 sticks of tobacco for heating
or any proportional combination of the above
You can also bring back £390 worth of other goods
For more information on Duty Free allowances, including EU allowances please visit the World Duty Free website.
Although there will be duty free limits in place post-Brexit, you’ll find that these still allow for you to bring plenty home from your French day trip tax-free, and it’s very likely that you’ll be able to fill your car boot without hitting the duty free limit. This means that you’ll be able to continue enjoying those pre-Christmas wine and cheese runs across the Channel and can stock up on items from our onboard World Duty Free shop.
