We would highly recommend heading to Southern France and going to Camargue. It is a 10 hour drive from Calais Port, but there are plenty of great places to stop off along the way, for example Lyon and Paris. The Camargue is a gorgeous stretch of marshland that is famous for its white horses that will add some magic to your romantic break in France. Its beaches are also well known for having flocks of flamingos which you can go and see.
